Art Notes announcing the release of next album, Lovely Tunes by Norberto Tamburrino, a collection of Love Themes. Downloads will be available on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14th, 2012.

A little background: some years ago pianist Norberto Tamburrino formed a Jazz Music Duo with Italian bass player Francesco Mariella and together have been performing and recording, spreading their own original music based on Classic jazz heritage. For those of you who are familiar with Jazz genres Lovely Tunes is a blend of Swing, Classic and Contemporary Jazz . Or to put it another way, if you happen to like musicians like Bill Evans, Thelonious Monk, Lennie Tristano and Ran Blake, you’ll probably hear something that you’ll like.

He is a composer who likes to explore; and in the same way that his previous Albums were an experiment in fusing different moods of Classic and Contemporary Jazz music.

Lovely Tunes is a concept Album, a mix of American Swing and European Romantic Improvisation. These artists taken songs about love giving a deep and original interpretation. Six new original compositions and four famous themes like My Romance, Easy To Love by Porter and Monk’ s  ”Ruby My Dear“  create in this album the right balance between music and  feeling capturing the listener.

Norberto Tamburrino says: “I’m very proud of this album–it shares the thematic depth, meticulous craftsmanship, and melodic catchiness of Prisoner of the Sea-Prigioniero del Mare, but with a thoroughly fresh sound. I hope you’ll join me on this new adventure, and give it a listen”.
